Amazing food and lovely staff! We tried the local Sciatt and Pizzoccheri, as well as the Nebbiolo Risotto and they were all some of the best food we've tried in northern Italy. We took some leftovers as takeaway, they didn't have any plastic forks so they gave us one of the metal ones from their kitchen! Now we have a pretty unique souvenir!

We were here in 2016 and 2018. Amazing food and wine, well priced, friendly service, amazing view - delicious sciatt, pizzoccheri - the food of Valtellina! Hope to be back soon!

Although we were late the owners allowed us to stay. They served the most delicious food we could imagine. Furthermore, the business owners were friendly and real hosts! We will come back! Thank you

Strolled up the hill from Tirano. The climb was worth it, as we were greeted with lovely welcoming customer service, and the most amazing local cuisine Would definitely recommend!!

After a long hike we stopped at a restaurant not too far from this one and were ignored then rushed out. We asked what was nearby, got ignored again and after a quick Google search found this oasis of heavenly, local Italian cuisine.The woman on the phone was a godsend in comparison. She was kind and told us they’d have a place for us. We rushed over and were greeted with a parade of food that we won’t soon forget.We started with the antipasto della casa which featured local and home made pieces of meat and cheese filled bites. Then moved onto 2 mouth-watering pasta dishes: ravioli with speck and pumpkin gnocchi with salvia. Torn on what to get for dessert, the waitress recommended we get the house cake, as it was also homemade and fresh. We ended everything with 2 digestivos, 2 coffees and absolute satisfaction.If you can visit Trattoria Del Simone or are even in the area, make an exception and have a meal there.It’s a place warmed by its ambiance, nestled in the mountains with a killer view, and generously and graciously serving some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a while.Thank you Trattoria Del Simone!
